• Dwyer Flow Switch

    Model no. V4-SS-2-U-AT

Vane-Operated Flow Switch: Field Adjustable – Dependable Protection Against Flow Variation or Stopping in Pipelines for Fluids, Gases and Flowing Solids.

    Features

    • Leak proof body machined from bar stock
    • Weatherproof, designed to meet NEMA 4
    • Explosion-proof
    • Installs directly and easily into pipeline with a threaded branch connection, tee, or flange
    • Can be used in pipes 1-1/2″ and up
    • Electrical assembly can be easily replaced without removing the unit from installation so that the process does not have to be shut down
    • High pressure rating of 1000 psig (69 bar) with the brass body and 2000 psig (138 bar) with the 316 SS body
    • Unique magnetically actuated switching design gives superior performance
    • There are no bellows, springs, or seals to fail
    • Instead, a free-swinging vane attracts a magnet within the solid metal switch body, actuating a snap switch by means of a simple lever arm

    Applications

    • Protects pumps, motors and other equipment against low or no flow
    • Controls sequential operation of pumps
    • Automatically starts auxiliary pumps and engines
    • Stops liquid cooled engines, machines and processing when coolant flow is interrupted
    • Shuts down burner when air flow through heating coil fails
    • Controls dampers according to flow
  • PRESSURE REDUCING REGULATOR (FLANGED), 2405

The Type 2405 self-operated pressure reducing regulator is used to control the pressure of flammable gases used as a source of energy, e.g. in boilers, driers, vaporizers, heat exchangers or industrial furnaces. Alternatively, it can control the compressed air supply in process engineering applications.

An additional application of the regulator is the pressure control of inert gas used for inerting or blanketing reaction or storage tanks to protect the product in the tank from oxidation, explosion or escaping. To achieve an economical consumption of the inert gas, its pressure must be controlled to always remain slightly higher than atmospheric pressure while the tank is being filled or emptied. A pressure reducing valve is used for controlling the downstream pressure (p2) to an adjusted set point. The design of a pressure reducing regulator valve is to close when the downstream pressure rises above a set value. These valves are self-operated in that the downstream pressure being controlled is tapped downstream of the valve and transmitted via a control line to the operating diaphragm of the Type 2405 where it is converted into a positioning force.
