    The Krohne BW 25 Liquid Level Indicator operates on the displacement principle. The length of the displacement rod corresponds to the measuring range. A displacement body suspended on a measuring spring is immersed in the liquid and is subjected to an upthrust based on Archimedes’ principle, this being proportional to the mass of the liquid displaced. Every change in the weight of the rod corresponds to a certain change in the length of the spring, and is therefore an indication of the liquid level. Extension of the spring is transmitted by magnetic coupling from the measuring zone to an indicator. This transmission method permits pressure-tight separation of the measuring spring system and the scale.

    OROBICHE Reflex indicators display the fluid level through a transparent surface being part of a column that is connected to the vessel by on-off cock gauges. The measuring part is composed of one or more elements from prismatic borosilicate glass (crystal) which trigger the reflection or non-reflection of the environmental light depending on whether the inner surface comes or does not come into contact with the fluid or with the gas (vapour). The crystal is tightened to the inside of a steel box by means of bolts.

    Its sturdy construction and its good visibility, without using dedicated illuminators, make it ideal for use in heavy-duty applications with pressure up to 400 bars and temperature of the media from -196 °C up to +427 °C. APPLICATIONS AND TECHNICAL DATA Tube level indicators are used in various industrial processes, especially in the chemical, petrochemical, power production, metal and steel, water treatment, food, paper industries and the like. They are typically preferred to transparency indicators in application on clear and non-corrosive fluids. Versions with body and wetted parts in galvanized Carbon Steel are available, whereas AISI 316, ASTM LF2, Hastelloy and other materials are available upon request.

  • PRESSURE REDUCING REGULATOR (FLANGED), 2405

    The Type 2405 self-operated pressure reducing regulator is used to control the pressure of flammable gases used as a source of energy, e.g. in boilers, driers, vaporizers, heat exchangers or industrial furnaces. Alternatively, it can control the compressed air supply in process engineering applications.

    An additional application of the regulator is the pressure control of inert gas used for inerting or blanketing reaction or storage tanks to protect the product in the tank from oxidation, explosion or escaping. To achieve an economical consumption of the inert gas, its pressure must be controlled to always remain slightly higher than atmospheric pressure while the tank is being filled or emptied. A pressure reducing valve is used for controlling the downstream pressure (p2) to an adjusted set point. The design of a pressure reducing regulator valve is to close when the downstream pressure rises above a set value. These valves are self-operated in that the downstream pressure being controlled is tapped downstream of the valve and transmitted via a control line to the operating diaphragm of the Type 2405 where it is converted into a positioning force.
